For every sherpa, barrow or trolley you hire, a tree is planted via Eden: People+Planet
Eden: People+Planet are an amazing nonprofit who restore healthy native forests at sites badly hit by deforestation.
As well as the obvious benefits to combatting climate change – trees provide a habitat for wildlife, purify water sources, control flooding/erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming.
Plus, Eden are also fighting poverty in these areas by hiring and training the local villagers to plant the trees.
They have now planted over 266 million trees and created over 2 million workdays for local villagers across 9 countries – and them numbers are increasing every day!
