Tree Planting

For every sherpa, barrow or trolley you hire, a tree is planted via Eden Reforestation Project.

Eden Reforestation Project are an amazing nonprofit who restore healthy native forests at sites badly hit by deforestation.

As well as the obvious benefits to combatting climate change – trees provide a habitat for wildlife, purify water sources, control flooding/erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming.

Plus, Eden are also fighting poverty in these areas by hiring and training the local villagers to plant the trees.

They have now planted almost 266 million trees and created over 2 million workdays for local villagers at 82 sites across 5 countries – and them numbers are increasing every day!

We’re really happy to be a part of that – and with your help, we’re looking forward to adding to that every summer…

  • I have worked for the Jolly Green Sherpas at four festivals now and can see myself working at a lot more. Such a good crew. Too much love. Megan

  • I was bit apprehensive volunteering on my own but I have never been made to feel so welcome. Made so many good friends working with the Sherpas. I definitely recommend it. George
