Boardmasters is a five-day festival that occurs at two picturesque venues in Newquay – Fistral Beach, the premier destination for surfing in the UK, and Watergate Bay, where you can watch headline acts plays on the cliffs overlooking the sea. Boardmasters Surf Festival has drawn in over 150,000 enthusiasts annually since its inception in 1981. In recent years, the event has expanded to include both locations.

Watergate Bay is home to the music arena and festival campsites. The event boasts music performances from Thursday to Sunday across seven distinct stages, which include the Main Stage, Unleashed, The View, Mavericks, The Point, Keg & Pasty and the VIP Bar/Stage. Many notable acts such as Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, and Fatboy Slim have graced the stages in the past. Along with music, festivalgoers can also enjoy a variety of food options and fairground rides on the grounds.

Fistral Beach plays host to a variety of surf competitions, and also features live music performances in the evenings during the festival.
