Boardmasters is a spectacular 5-day event that takes place across two locations in Newquay – Fistral Beach, the surfing mecca of the UK, where Boardmasters’ famous International Surf Competitions take place, and Watergate Bay, arguably the most stunning location in the country to watch live music – both of which are home to the Boardmasters International Surf Competitions. Over the course of five days, more than 150,000 festival goers flocked to Boardmasters, which was founded in 1981 and has expanded to two locations in recent years.

The Watergate Bay location is home to the music arena as well as all of the festival campsites. There will be music performances from Thursday to Sunday on seven different music stages, including the Main Stage, Unleashed, The View, Mavericks, The Point, Keg & Pasty, and the VIP Bar/Stage. The Main Stage will host the majority of the acts, with Unleashed hosting the majority of them. Bastille, Faithless, Rudimental, Snoop Dogg, Chase and Status, Basement Jaxx, Ed Sheeran, Plan B, Leftfield, Cypress Hill, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, Newton Faulkner, and Ben Howard are just a few of the acts who have performed in previous years. In addition to the music, there are a number of taverns, kiosks, and fairground rides available on the grounds.

Surf, BMX, and skate competitions are held at the Fistral Beach location, which also hosts live music in the evenings of the festival.
