For electronic dance events, Creamfields has been setting the bar high since the late ’90s. In 1998, the first dance festival was born. It was meant to give the clubbing world a unique large-scale outdoor event that put DJs at the centre for the first time. It has grown from a 25,000-capacity one-day show to a four-day camping behemoth that draws sold-out crowds of more than 70,000. There have been a lot of Creamfields festivals around the world since 1999, and it has become one of the few festivals that has been able to make money on the world market. Creamfields has been held in 22 countries so far, and more countries are on the way.

Each year, more than 300 artists play on 30 stages over the course of the weekend at the festival, which is known for its huge production design and ambitious staging. Many big-name artists have played over the years. Swedish House Mafia, Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Tisto, Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, Fatboy Slim, Faithless, Annie Mac, Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong, CHIC, Daft Punk (DJ set), The Black Madonna, and Stormzy are just a few. This isn’t surprising, because Creamfields has won a lot of awards for being the best dance event and the best major festival in the world. It covers all kinds of electronic music.

For the 25th anniversary, Creamfields North in 2022 is back. It will be held in the fields of Daresbury, Cheshire on August Bank Holiday weekend, 2022. These celebrations will show off the largest Creamfields yet!
